If teachers learn a new language and identify the effective ways to practise languages, they will be able to help their learners practise easily and effectively.

There are many effective ways to practice a new language. Here are a few ideas:

  • Find a language partner. This is one of the best ways to practice speaking and listening. You can find language partners online or in your community.

  • Watch movies and TV shows in your target language. This is a great way to improve your listening comprehension and vocabulary. You can also try watching with subtitles in your native language to help you follow along.

  • Read books and articles in your target language. This is another great way to improve your reading comprehension and vocabulary. You can also try reading children's books or books that are written in a simpler style.

  • Listen to music in your target language. This is a fun way to practice listening comprehension and vocabulary. You can also try singing along to the songs to help you improve your pronunciation.

  • Immerse yourself in the language. If you can, try to travel to a country where your target language is spoken. This is the best way to practice all aspects of the language, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

It is important to find ways to practice that are fun and engaging. If you are not enjoying yourself, you are less likely to stick with it. Try a variety of different activities and see what works best for you.

Can the teachers provide language partners to the learners by making them work in groups? Can the homework assignments be watching programmes in that language rather than dull copying work? Can the teachers provide better exposure through various activities in class where the language is used for day to day purposes in a natural manner?
