What are the maximum and minimum risks?

Risk 1: Waste Money on Scam Sites

Internet Marketing world is full of scammers and they are waiting to pounce on newbies. They will swallow you whole unless you take care to protect yourself. Read

Google Sold You a Website? Beware of Scammers!

Instead of spending money to buy ready-made sites from scammers, if you buy domain name and webspace, the site is yours and the investment is not lost.

Risk 2: Give up Day Job and Earn Nothing Online

You go through school and college education and then go and get a job. There is no need to give that up in a hurry thinking that you are going to make money online overnight.

Remember that you have to learn how to earn online and you need to develop your skills. Keep your job, devote time to get knowledge and develop skills, start earning online as a part time player. Once you start earning a consistent income month after month, you can give up your day job.

Risk 3: Not Assessing Your Gains and Loss

You have to carefully calculate what you have gained and what you have lost at every step of ‘make money online’ process.

You may spend money to gain knowledge and skills. But whatever you invest in should help you go to the next level of earning. Whether this is happening or not can be found out only if you constantly track and assess your results.

Minimum Risk is starting with $0 with a blogger blog and developing your skills of getting traffic to it and earning through Google AdSense and affiliate programs.

Medium Risk is spending under $100 per year to buy webspace and domain name. Most probably you will be able to earn back $100 + within that year. Even if you are not able to earn much you can develop your blog or site to a good status and sell it for a good price.

Maximum Risk is borrowing money and investing in online projects that you know nothing about. If someone promise you thousands of dollars overnight, you should ask the person to allow you to pay the morning after that night. Tell him I will pay you from my profits.

The first level of education is to develop the discerning ability to separate the standard internet marketers from the scammers. Start by reading all the free tips and resources available on sites and blogs. Understand what you are letting yourself into. Find out whether you are interested enough to commit yourself to putting in the necessary time and effort to learn the skills to make money online.

No effort goes waste. And the effort put in the right direction with a specific goal in mind always bears fruit. Have a vision. Visualize yourself ten years from now and take the first step today.
