  As a learner in this site, I take the privilege of writing this with a view to help absolute beginners.

  Once you set up a free blog and have your site up and put your affiliate links in it for earning, you need to promote it so that people visit your site and click on thsoe links .

  The following are the few steps that I am practically following and still in the process.

  From what I ahve learnt in the past few months from various free courses and tips and from practical experience, I giving you the following practical ideas which you can put to use.

  1. Sign up for forums in internet marketing and daily post your ads in the particluar advertising area. Dont forget to give the link for your site in the text of your ad.

  2. Reply to other’s posts if you can. You can collect a lot of tips here. So copy and pastge in your word document naming it ‘Tips for site promotion’ or something like that.

  3. Ad the site URL to your email signature. You can go to settings of your email page and find instructions for doing this. Whnever you send mails, this link will be shown below your signarure and some people will click and visit your site.

  4. You can write a short article of about 150-200 words using as many keywords as possible related to your site’s subject in your blog. Submit this article to ezinearticles.com and other article directories. The article should contain the link to your site. Your Author’s bio should contain links of your other sites also. These links will get people to visit your sites.

  5. Sing up with squidoo.com and create a lens (write a short para) about your site putting the link to your site inside the article you write there.. From here you can get traffic to your site too.

  6. Join Yahoo groups and take part in internet marketing discussions and Yahoo answers. You can have your site’s link in your signature.

  7. Visit various sites liek sulekha.com, sify.com etc. and advertise your site wherever it is free. Google search for free advertising sites will help.

  These are some ways of promoting our sites that I have leanrt. I am trying to do all this and still in the process of completing these steps.
